All is well

The baby is doing good. S/he is kicking more than ever. Sometimes you can even see the baby kicking from the outside. You might be staring at Karla's tummy and see a mini-earthquake happen. Its real quick, almost like you didn't see it at all (I guess I thought that you'd see a the impression of a foot pushing through her stomach or something like that.)

Also, we're both at our new home now... its kinda like a mansion but more like a 2-bedroom apartment. We just got a sweet rocking chair that's just drippin with love and tenderness (aka it was gifted to us but is a used a abuela chair... Good lookin out Richardo :)

Lastly but not leastly, CONGRATS to Angel and Gabe on the birth of TNT Troy Danger Alvarez last week. TNT is super kewt/qt/cute/all that and a bag of chips

PKs...

Shootout time...Boys and girls votes are tied. Its 10 to 10 right now. C'mon now fellas and fellow boy-voters, we've comeback from being down and now its time to show Karla exactly what needs to happen here. Show some heart, exercise your suffrage rights and vote for a boy!

Or, vote for a girl. That's okay, too, I guess ...jk

Your vote matters!!!

Trip out, eh... I felt the baby kicking from the outside of Karla's belly for the first time! Maybe this is whatever news for the ladies out there, especially Karla, cuz she could feel the baby moving all the time, but I was startled and shocked. It was reeeally cooool. In short, now I'm sure there is really a baby in there.

Also, its been a busy week. We are in the process of moving to a new place; a little 2 bedroom apartment that will be our first family residence :) We (i.e. Kevin) painted the bebe's room a shade of green that is super bright and airy, but totally gender-neutral. To be fair, Karla masked the room prior to painting. So for the record, she did help.

In an effort to reduce the amount of paint fumes that our lil lad or lassie will be inhaling, Karla will not be moving in immediately. I, however, am hardly bothered by the smell and believe that I will only suffer minor, almost imperceptible brain damage at most, by moving into the apartment right away. In closing, I lost my train of thought and my head feels funny ;)

My life partner and I just returned from our monthly checkup and although I’ve been feeling the baby’s kicks for a couple of weeks now, it’s still so comforting to hear the baby’s heartbeat and have the doc say it’s a strong one. It didn’t feel so good, however, to step on the scale to find that I've gained 8 pounds in 1 month! If I keep at this rate I’ll have gained 40 pounds by due date..yiiikes…The doctor was so cute she’s like “Oh, you’re not really eating for two, you really only need an extra 200 calories, which is really just a glass of milk” I wanted to ask her if she’d been pregnant, because obviously she’s never experienced the sudden hunger pangs that send any pregnant woman on a ravenous search for anything edible! ... glass of milk, hah, more like burger with fries and a shake…Anyway. Continuing with food, my 22 week baby is the size of a spaghetti squash J
