Happy two months mi Vale

Ahhh fatherhood, the natural high. I tell ya, there really isn't anything better than the feeling I get from showing off Vale. I don't know how she feels about the whole thing, but when people are all like, "Oooohhh my gosh, she's so cute (and the pitch of their voices get higher with every syllable)," I'm totes on cloud nueve. Yup, dad-hood is pretty cool ;{

outfit compliments of tia Zenia and tita Kristin, oh and goofy was a gift from Joann and the awesomely warm chargers blanket was a gift to Kevin from his lola last Christmas....we watched the game last night with my sister Paola and her two kids...boy do Kevin and I have a party awaiting us....my niece and nephew whom I adore are a hurricane of energy, I dont know how my sister does it!

Sunday Funday

I love Sundays..the first stop is always Bread and Cie in Hillcrest where Kevin will for sure 100% of the time get a hammer head ( I think it's like 3 coffees in one) and a jalapeno cheese bread. We both love this bread and will fight, physically if necessary, for the cheese pockets that are found throughout the bread, yuuuuum. Some Sundays we get there when the bread has just come out of the oven and the cheese pockets are still melted inside the bread, this makes us both giggle and dance in our chairs in excitement! I on the other hand try to get different stuff each week unless the bakery is offering the tomato and grilled cheese sandwich combo with stinky fontuna cheese ( it picked up that name during Kevin's Santa Cruz days)...anyway, last week they offered it, lucky me, and Vale who got her picture taken by it. Also notice the hammerhead which is the size of Vale's head...can't wait till next sunday!

Some of the cutest/funniest pictures of Vale are spur of the moment, two seconds later and the face is gone type of shots...the first picture is one of those..Kevin was on the recliner when he goes look look at her, which ends in me dashing across the coffee table to get the shot before its too late....She was born just under 6 pounds but she's making up for it no problem...go chubs!

Can't wait to see Kevin showing her how to ride her own bike...sigh...

For Vale's baby album I want pictures of her with all the people in her life..She had such a peaceful afternoon visiting with her greatgrandma Lola, her tita Kalani and my mom and niece Ivi who is the cutest little girl, Vale and her are gonna have so much fun when Vale gets a little older.

wooooork suuuuuucks

^^Some of you may have already known this^^, so I'm sure you need no reminder. But for those of you that haven't realized it for yaself yet, wooooooork suuuuuucks sometimez :) What I really mean is, it pays the billz and all, but how can I be content being here when all that cuteness awaits me at home (Vale, that is... Oh, and Karla, ur kinda cute too ;)

Also, Karla keeps sending me vmails, which are obviously emails containg pics of "V-for-Vale" in action doing some uber-cutesy-pie stuff.

I'm convinced Vale is a good luck charm--The weather finally permitted us to make it out to Kevin's water polo games and of the two we went to, Bonita won both. inneresting.


That must mean something I'm sure. I should take her to all the games in exchange for Kevin taking over all night time duties i.e. napping changings, feedings, rocking back to sleep, and return of baby to bassinet which is the hardest part because let me tell you, bed sharing/co-sleeping/family bedding it.. call it what you will is so awesome but we've refrained from doing it too much since the pediatrician scared us against it.....Anyway, here are a few pictures of Vale hanging out w her grandparents and tita. hope everyone is drinking lots of water to flush out all the candy from yesterday, I know I am! here's a picture of Valen taking the bjorn for a test ride....I was so disappointed to see that she is still WAY to small for it...but the good news is that she was weighed today and she has gaining a whopping 3 pounds since birth, she went from 5.15lbs to 8.15...go Valen!
