With the holiday season in full swing, I think a blog update is well overdue. Stay tuned for more this month as Vale walks you through September, October, November and December. Phew! Here's a peek at September and the weeks leading up to her second birthday. First up, her grandmama's b-day outing to the Del Mar race tracks. Kevin and I caught the gambling bug big time and were going crazy betting $1 and $2 dollars based on horse names, birthplaces and a few recommendation from the people in the know. Ballers right? :) If we had bet big we'd be finished working for the year cause both of us picked the winning horse a couple times! Anyway, we had a blast and oh yeah, Vale was there too. She loved seeing the horses running at top speeds and for some reason she really loved eating this stuff called kettle corn. I think elementary school students should be warned about the dangers of eating too much of this stuff cause clearly, it's addictive, just ask Vale's dad! Also, paddle boarding for dad and papa and a fundraiser at Allen school where Vale discovered hoola hoops and that she could leave me behind and go have fun on her own.
